CarVet ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Spletna prodaja in svetovanje, Jernej Izda s.p. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the CarVet mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

CarVet is designed to minimise data collection. We collect the following:

• Car profile data — brand, model, vehicle type, fuel type, and year. Stored locally on your device only and never transmitted to our servers.
• User-submitted queries — symptom descriptions, garage quotes, and dashboard photos submitted for AI analysis. Sent to our secure proxy and forwarded to Anthropic's API for processing. Not stored after the response is returned.
• Device identifier — an anonymous device ID used solely to enforce the daily request limit. Never linked to your identity.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered car diagnostics, warning light identification, and garage quote estimates
• To enforce fair usage limits (10 free requests per device per day)
• To improve the accuracy and relevance of AI responses

3. Third-Party Services

CarVet uses the following third-party services:

• Anthropic (Claude AI) — your queries and photos are processed by Anthropic's API. See anthropic.com/privacy.
• Cloudflare Workers — our proxy server runs on Cloudflare. No personal data is stored.
• Autodoc / Awin — when you tap a parts link, third-party retailer policies apply.

4. Data Storage

Your car profile is stored locally on your device. We do not operate a user database and no personal account is required to use CarVet.

5. Photos and Dashboard Images

Dashboard photos are compressed and sent to Anthropic's API for analysis only. They are not stored by CarVet after the scan is complete.

6. Children's Privacy

CarVet is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

7. Your Rights

Since CarVet does not store personal data on our servers, all locally stored data can be removed by uninstalling the app. For privacy questions, contact support@carvet.eu.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised date.
